In the Chronicle: Althauser Rayan Abbarno has announced that attorneys Todd Rayan and Peter Abbarno have been selected as Washington Super Lawyers, a distinction awarded to only the top 5% of attorneys in each state based on peer recognition and professional achievement.
Rayan and Abbarno were recognized for work in the areas of personal injury and workers’ compensation and are the only attorneys in Lewis County on the 2026 Super Lawyers list.
Super Lawyers is a nationally respected attorney rating service that identifies outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Inclusion on the Super Lawyers list is the result of a multi-phase process that includes peer nominations, independent research, and evaluations by highly-rated attorneys within each practice area.

According to Super Lawyers, the selection process begins with confidential peer nominations from attorneys who have observed fellow lawyers in practice. Self-nominations are prohibited, and nominations from attorneys outside a nominee’s law firm receive greater weight. Candidates are then evaluated by the Super Lawyers research team on 12 indicators of professional achievement and peer recognition, including verdicts and settlements, honors and awards, certifications, community involvement and professional activity.
