The attorneys with Althauser Rayan Abbarno are proud to support the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce’s Rob Fuller Scholarship luncheon. In 2018, Althauser Rayan Abbarno created the Cheyllyn Collinsworth Memorial Scholarship after the passing of Cheyllyn Collinsworth, a top 25 student from Centralia in 2017.
The 2025 Althauser Rayan Abbarno, LLP Cheyllyn Collinsworth Scholarship: Alyn Wiens. The scholarship, which awards $1,000 to a W.F. West or Centralia student pursuing a teaching career, was created in memory of a former Centralia High School senior and aspiring teacher who died in a car accident shortly after her high school graduation.

Twenty-one scholarship winners and the top 25 students from Centralia and W.F. West high schools for the class of 2025 were celebrated Tuesday at the annual Rob Fuller Scholarship Luncheon.
Hosted by the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce and the Rob Fuller Scholarship Program, the luncheon is named in honor of longtime Lewis County resident, president of Fuller’s Inc., city councilor and philanthropist Rob Fuller, who died in 2011 from lung cancer.
“Rob believed in the community, in the power of young people and giving back. That’s why this scholarship carries his name. It reflects what he valued most: supporting the next generation of leaders, workers and dreamers right here in Lewis County,” said Chad Taylor, a former Chehalis city councilor and current publisher of The Chronicle.
Tuesday’s luncheon included raffle prizes for students and a keynote address by Centralia High School class of 2008 graduate Hillary Hull, who now works as an agricultural teacher, FFA adviser and worksite learning coordinator in Yelm.
“Every single one of you are about to embark on your next journey. Whether you have a plan or not, remember that the road may not be easy, and that’s OK. But just like the stickers that you all have at your table, you, too, will find the joy, the connection and the excitement in whatever you choose to do,” Hull told the graduating seniors.

History of the Scholarship
In 2017, Althauser Rayan Abbarno partner Peter Abbarno was the keynote where Centralia High School senior Cheyllyn Collinsworth was a recipient. Tragically, shortly after the event Cheyllyn was killed in a automobile collision on the way home from work by a driver under the influence.
In his address to the students, keynote speaker Peter Abbarno said “Education is the building block for any community. Graduation is not the end or beginning. Life is a series of chapters in a book.
At this point, one chapter is closing and another one is beginning for the students, he said. As the seniors head out into the world, they were encouraged to come back to the area to better the community they were raised in or go out and settle in a new community and work to benefit their neighbors. ” Read more in the Chronicle.
In 2018, in honor of Cheyllyn, Althauser Rayan Abbarno and the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce announced the creation of a scholarship in Cheyllyn’s name.
Our hearts and prayers continue to go out to this amazing family.
